A marketing coordinator or marketer is a high-level position within an organization that helps manage the company’s marketing efforts. The majority of their time will be spent executing short and long-term projects, managing budgets, creating strategies for different types of campaigns, and helping with any other coordination to help keep things running smoothly. When a new product is introduced, they will be responsible for creating the initial marketing plan that outlines how to advertise and promote this new item.
A coordinator might also need to create a social media strategy, including any updates from the brand’s Facebook or Twitter accounts, among other outlets. They may also have some input on what type of content will go on its blog, which should be written with consistency in mind.
There are several things to keep in mind when interviewing. The interviewer needs to have completed their research, both on the company and on the specific position they’re hiring for. In other words, show up prepared with knowledge about who you want to hire and what this person will be doing for you.
It’s also important that the interviewer read up on interview techniques, such as how to ask questions and what types of behavioral or situational-based questions might work best with the candidate being interviewed.
