Tire technicians work in the automotive industry and take care of tires. They also evaluate tire conditions to determine when a car needs new tires or another problem with the vehicle. Customers will bring their vehicles in for repairs, and they may need new tires because old ones are worn out or damaged beyond repair. Tire technicians fill this role.
In addition to changing tires, technicians must inspect the tire and ensure there are no leaks or damage. They check for nails or other objects that may have punctured the rubber surface. Tire techs also need to look at brake pads and rotors when checking car components because they work hand in hand with each other If a technician finds any damage or problems, they must tell the customer and then assist them in purchasing new tires.
Some technicians might work on cars with four-wheel drive systems. If a car is equipped with this option, it will need to be raised off of the ground so that techs can get underneath it for inspection purposes. They may also have to use jacks to change tires on these types of cars.
