HTML Developers are creative content developers that work closely with UX Designers to create websites, applications, and other interactive platforms. Essentially, their job is to describe the interface for how a site should look and function in a time-sensitive manner using nothing but code.
They’re usually given the design of a page or screen by UX designers and can code it into existence in HTML, XHMTL, or jQuery. You’ll need this if you want animations or fancy button effects on your website, such as rollover buttons — no Flash required! If you’re more of an intermediate-level programmer than a beginner, this may be up your alley.
When interviewing a potential candidate to hire for your HTML Developer job opening, you must be prepared as an employer. A big mistake that many new employers make during the interview process is not asking enough questions and then being forced to hire someone they would have never chosen if given more options. Employers should also be mindful of what their company needs and recognize a good candidate from one who is not.
One of the best ways for employers to prepare themselves before an interview is by conducting some research on their prospective employees. This should include looking through their resume or portfolio, reading articles about HTML development, watching videos that they may have created about the skills desired, and researching any feedback they have received for their work. These steps will help you prepare your interview questions and give the interviewer a better sense of who to hire when there are other qualified candidates.
